Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Edhuru Chat, operated by Lessonfuse, collects about you and how it is used. Using the service is also subject to our Terms of Service.

What we collect

• Your account. Your name and email address, from your Google sign-in.
• Your conversations. The messages you send and the replies you receive, including any images you upload and any images the tutor generates for you.
• Your learning data. Which curriculum outcomes you explore and your quiz results, used to build your learning map and to help the tutor revisit what you find hard.
• Billing records. Your pack purchases, the bank transfer slips you upload, and a record of what each message cost, so your balance is accurate.

How we use it

We use this information to run the tutor, remember your conversations, show your progress, and handle billing. We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing

To answer you, the messages and any images in your conversation are sent to Google's Gemini models to generate a response. Google processes that content to provide the AI service under its own terms.

Where your data is stored

Your account, conversations, and billing records are stored in a database and file storage hosted on Cloudflare. Sign-in is handled through Google.

Sharing your conversations

Your conversations are private by default. A conversation only becomes readable by other people if you create a public share link for it, and only until you turn sharing off. A shared view shows the messages alone, never your cost, your account, or your other conversations.

Family and tutor plans

If you join a family or tutor plan, the guardian or tutor who runs that plan can see a summary of your learning progress: which curriculum outcomes you have explored, how many messages you have sent, how many quizzes you have started, your quiz accuracy, and when you were last active. They can never read the content of your conversations with the tutor, and they cannot see individual messages. When you are part of a plan, the app tells you so. You join a plan only by accepting an invite sent to your own email address, you can be part of only one plan at a time, and you can ask the guardian or tutor to remove you. A guardian or tutor account is a supervisor account: it monitors this progress summary and cannot chat.

Staff access

When you buy a pack or plan, a member of the Lessonfuse team reviews the transfer slip you upload in order to approve the payment. Staff access is limited to what is needed to run the service and handle billing.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and the data associated with it by contacting the Lessonfuse team.

Students

Edhuru Chat is made for students. If you are a minor, please use it with the guidance of a parent, guardian, or teacher.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
