Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Edhuru Chat, an AI study assistant for students following the Maldivian national curriculum, operated by Lessonfuse. By logging in and using the service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

Edhuru Chat generates explanations, quizzes, and images to help you learn. It is a study aid, not a teacher and not an exam service. AI answers can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, so always check anything important against your textbook and your teacher before relying on it.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Use one account for yourself and keep your sign-in secure.

3. How pricing works

Everything you pay for is measured in Conversation Credits (CC). This section explains, in detail, what uses CC and how much.

• Conversation Credits are the only way to pay. There is no free tier and no separate balance. You buy a prepaid pack of CC, and each message you send spends a small amount of it.
• Packs. The Monthly pack is 100 MVR and includes 51 CC, valid for 30 days. The Yearly pack is 900 MVR and includes 501 CC, valid for 365 days. You can hold one pack at a time. You can buy a new pack once your current one is used up or has expired. Any CC left over when a pack expires is forfeited and does not carry over to the next pack.
• Family and tutor plans. A parent can buy a Family plan (1500 MVR, valid 365 days) as one shared pool of 835 CC that any number of invited family members draw from together; when it is used up or expires, everyone pauses until the parent buys again. A tutor can buy a Tutor plan (2000 MVR, valid 365 days) the same way: one shared pool of 1113 CC that all their invited students draw from together. A parent or tutor invites members by email, sees each member's progress summary (never their chats), and a student can be part of only one plan at a time. What a supervisor can and cannot see is described in our Privacy Policy.
• Charged per message. You are charged after each successful reply, based on how much computing that reply used, converted into CC. You are not charged a whole conversation up front, and a failed reply is never charged.
• Models. You choose which AI model answers each message. Cheaper, faster models cost less CC per message; more capable models cost more. The model that produced each reply is shown under it, together with what it cost.
• Thinking effort. For text answers you can choose how hard the model thinks: minimal, low, medium, or high. More thinking gives better answers on hard questions but uses more computing, so it costs more CC. Each model has a cheapest setting that counts as its baseline (1x); higher settings cost a multiple of that baseline. The picker shows an estimate before you send, and the thinking level actually used is shown under each reply. The real charge is always the actual amount used, not the estimate. Some models do not offer every level.
• Image generation. You can switch to an image model to generate a picture from your prompt. Each generated image is charged in CC the same way a message is. Higher quality image models cost more per image.
• Values can change. The CC included in each pack, and the CC cost of each model and setting, can change over time. The current values are always the ones shown in the app when you send.

4. Payment

Packs are paid in Maldivian Rufiyaa by bank transfer. You upload a copy of your transfer slip, and a member of the Lessonfuse team reviews it before your CC is credited. Crediting can take some time while the transfer is verified.

5. Refunds

Conversation Credits are consumed as you use the service and are generally non-refundable once credited. You are never charged for a generation that fails, and unused CC simply remains on your balance until the pack expires.

6. Acceptable use

Use Edhuru Chat for your own learning. Do not use it to break your school's rules on assessments, to create harmful, illegal, or abusive content, to attempt to disrupt or overload the service, or to resell or share paid access with others.

7. Your content and sharing

Your conversations are yours. If you create a public share link for a conversation, anyone who has that link can read that conversation until you turn sharing off. A shared view shows only the messages, never your cost, your account, or your other chats. Do not share a conversation that contains information you want to keep private.

8. Availability and accuracy

The service is provided on an as is and as available basis. We do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and AI output may be inaccurate. To the extent allowed by law, Lessonfuse is not liable for losses arising from your use of the service or reliance on its output.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms and the pricing from time to time. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
